May 15, 1999

COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Missouri Tigers (35-17) played their final home game at the old Simmons Field on Saturday afternoon and went out with 10-6 victory over the Bradley Braves (26-29). Missouri will move on to Oklahoma City and the 1999 Big 12 Tournament that begins on Wednesday. Missouri will be the No. 7 seed and will play either Baylor or Texas Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

Missouri led the game 2-1 after three innings, but Bradley tallied four runs against the Tigers Jody Harris in the top of the fourth. A two run double by Miguel Osorio (2-for-4, 3 RBI) gave Bradley a 3-2 lead. Mark Miller followed with an RBI single. The fourth run scored on a Missouri error.

The Missouri offense came to life in the fifth inning as they hit Bradley with an eight-spot in the frame. Four of those runs came when Mike Rallo connected for a grand slam home run to give Missouri a 6-5 lead. After Mick Weiss singled, Mike Ketelsen smashed his first home run of the season to give Missouri an 8-5 advantage. J.R. Warner and Jon Williams later drove in runs to cap the eight-run inning.

Ryan Jamison (4-1) relieved Jody Harris and 3 2/3 innings allowing just one unearned run on five hits. He also registered five strikeouts. Bradley starter Craig Hawkins (5-5) suffered the loss.
