Freshman Biljana Pawlowa has been selected as the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week for the week ending April 4, the league office announced Tuesday. Pawlowa received the honor along with Colorado's Boris Sepesi.

Pawlowa helped lead the Tigers to their first conference win in over 17 years as Missouri defeated Iowa State 6-3 last Saturday. Pawlowa picked up her first two wins in Big 12 play at the No. 1 singles spot by defeating Jessica Garrow of Colorado, 7-5, 6-3, and Iowa State's Noortje Cornelissen, 6-2, 6-3. The freshman is now 17-12 overall and 2-6 in the Big 12.

Pawlowa will be looking for her third conference win this Wednesday, April 7, as the Tigers host the Kansas Jayhawks. Pawlowa will most likely face KU's Kris Sell.
