MIssouri Wrestlers Upended By No. 4 Oklahoma

Norman, Oklahoma - The Missouri wrestling team lost to #4 Oklahoma 36-3 Friday night in Big 12 conference action. With the loss the Tigers fall to 3-7 on the season,0-2 in conference duals, while the Sooners improve to 13-5-1 and 1-3 in the Big 12.

Freshman John Kopnisky (174) earned MU's points as he scored the only Tiger win, a 4-0 victory over Keith Wilson. The MU wrestler is now 18-9 overall this season. Junior Jeff Urban ranked #15 in the nation at 149 lbs., lost his match to #13 Jared Frayer of OU, 8-0. The loss snapped Urban's eight match winning streak and dropped his record to 19-8 on the season.

Missouri will next be in action tomorrow afternoon in Stillwater, Oklahoma at 3:30 pm as they take on #1 Oklahoma State in a Big 12 conference dual.
