DeKalb, Illinois - The Missouri Tiger wrestling team closed its regular season Sunday with a 21-15 win over Northern Illinois. With the victory MU ends the season with a 4-9 overall record, the Huskies fell to 6-6-1 this season. Missouri won six of the duals ten matches and stopped a five match losing streak with the non-conference victory.

Junior Jeff Urban pinned Northern Illinois' J.C. Gaunt in 6:23, for his 20th win of the season against only ten defeats. Also winning for MU was Kevin Herron (197), Chad Hertzog (HWT), Jesse Jordan (165) and John Kopnisky (174) who also won his 20th match of the year.

Senior Matt Webster. wrestling in the final team dual of his MU career, was victorious over Michael Pater, 7-2 and ends his final regular season 17-10.

Missouri's wrestlers will next be in action at the Big 12 Championships held March 5 &6 in Ames, Iowa.
