Des Moines, Iowa - The Missouri Tiger track relay teams again gave strong performances at the 90th Drake Relays Saturday. Leading the team was the men's sprint team of Thomas Woods, Kristian Fagerland, Chad Shade, and Derrick Peterson who won the sprint relay with a 3:11.91 time. Katie Meyer won the women's 1500m in 4:28.46 to notch the only MU individual victory of the day.

The men's 4x400m and Distance Medley also did well at the event, as the 4x400m team of Shade, Fagerland, Woods, and John Cunningham finished fifth in 3:11.91 and the DMR 14th with Joel McCune, Timothy Dunne, Damien Smith, Joe Hofeditz posting a 9:59.49 time.

Two women's relay teams also ran to good performances. The 4x100 m shuttle relay team of Rannveig Kvalvik, Jill Aholt, Michelle Moran, Eli Sommerfeldt finsihed second in their heat with a 1:00.45 time and Ashley Wysong, Becky Rigel, Jennifer Leerssen, Sunny Gilbert finished fifth in the 4x800m relay in 8:48.02.

Other individual places for Missouri included Adam Ford in fifth place of the high jump with a leap of 6-10.25, Micah Shanks in 16th place of the hammer throw with a 175-8 toss and Katie Sekinger 29th in the women's 5,000m with an 18:11.63 time.
