COLUMBIA, Mo.- Missouri junior forward Julie Helm was named the women's basketball Big 12 Player of the Week on Tuesday. She is the first recipient of the season.

Helm's career-high 38 points and 8 rebounds vs. Bradley last week earned her the award. Her 38 points was the third highest single-game mark in Missouri school history. MU Hall-of-Famer Renee Kelly scored 41 points in game vs. Oklahoma in 1986 and twice scored 40 in a game.
