Entering his first year as a graduate assistant manager is Eric Thibault. He will primarily assist Tracy Bennett with the team's video needs, such as film exchange, video editing and scouting. He also will assist with all other parts of the program. Thibault is no stranger to the women's basketball team, as he spent three years as a practice player.
The son of WNBA Connecticut Sun Head Coach Mike Thibault, Thibault has worked as an assistant to the Sun's coaching staff since 2006. While with the organization, he prepared scouting reports on opposing player personnel and served as a practice player for the squad. Thibault also worked as a statistician during ESPN/ABC broadcasts of WNBA games since 2004.
An Academic All-State basketball honoree at East Lyme High School in 2006, Thibault returned to his alma mater as a volunteer assistant coach following his playing days. Additionally, he coached the East Lyme boys' summer league team in 2008 and 2009.
Thibault hails from East Lyme, Conn., but grew up in Omaha, Neb., and Mequon, Wis. He will graduate with a bachelor's degree in English with a focus in creative writing and a minor in political science from Mizzou in December 2009.
