Justin Hairston is the Director of Development for the Mizzou Athletics Fund at the University of Missouri Athletics, where he helps build strong relationships between Mizzou Athletics and its supporters. In his role, he manages a portfolio of donors across annual giving, major gifts, and premium seating, always focusing on creating meaningful, long-term connections. He also works closely with the cross-country and track & field programs as their sport liaison, helping connect donors to the student-athletes and teams they’re passionate about.
Justin joined Mizzou in May 2021 and has steadily worked his way up, taking on roles in fiscal operations and sport-specific giving before stepping into his current position. Before coming to Mizzou, he spent several years at the University of Detroit Mercy, where he developed a strong foundation in ticket operations and sales. A former men’s basketball student-athlete at Tiffin University, Justin understands firsthand the impact that support and resources can have on student-athletes, which drives the work he does every day.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Justin earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Tiffin University and later completed his MBA at University of Detroit Mercy. He married his wife, Katherine, in 2024. Known for his genuine approach and strong work ethic, Justin brings energy and passion to helping Mizzou Athletics continue to grow and succeed.
