Clay Rogers joined the University of Missouri as a mentor in August of 2012. During that time, he served as a graduate assistant and helped advise the Football, Wrestling, Track and Field, Cross Country teams. Rogers comes to Mizzou from the University of Southern Indiana where he received a Bachelor's in Sociology in 2009 and a Bachelor's in Psychology in 2012. He received his Master of Education in Counseling Psychology in 2015.
In January 2014, Rogers was promoted to Academic Coordinator and was promoted again to Assistant Director in July 2017. In 2019, he was promoted to Director of Academics for Olympic Sports before being promoted to his current position of Assistant Athletic Director in 2025.
Rogers works closely with student-athletes to monitor academic progress, coordinate study hall, communicates with faculty, is part of Academic Advisors' Leadership Council on-campus, assists with travel obligations and advise students about major selection and courses.
Rogers, an Evansville, Indiana, native, is married to Jaclyn Rogers and father of Zane Rogers.
