2009-10: Wrestling at 184 pounds in his first season, Keheler picked up five wins in eight matches, including two by fall. Keheler, redshirting the season, started the year at the University of Central Missouri Open, where he registered his first collegiate victory after pinning his opponent in 1:10. He followed that up with an impressive showing at the Missouri Open the next weekend where he'd go 4-1, good for third place in his class. He opened with an 8-3 decision and a win by fall in just 1:18, and after a loss, bounced back to register victories by scores of 4-2 and 3-1.
High School: In four years at Moberly High School, Keleher notched a 170-12 record with 107 wins coming by way of fall. The Spartan grappler finished second at the 2008 Missouri State Championships while competing at 171 pounds and recorded third place finishes his freshman (2005-06) and senior (2008-09) years at 160 and 189-pounds respectively. As a sophomore, Keleher finished fifth in the state tournament. Coached by Sam Richardson, the Moberly wrestling team managed two top-10 finishes at the State Championships, finishing fifth in 2006 and 10th in 2008. Keleher competed at Junior Nationals following his freshman season and took sixth in the Greco style meet. In 2006, Keleher finished first at Brute Nationals, earning runner-up honors at the same meet in 2008. Keleher was a four year academic all-state honoree and 2008 All-American. In addition to earning four letters in wrestling, Keleher was honored with three letters with football.
Personal: Weston Keleher is the son of Les and D.D. Keleher and was born Feb. 6, 1990, in Sioux City, Iowa. Keleher has two brothers, Joe (22), who wrestled at Morningside College and Davis (16). An education major, Keleher plans to teach high school after graduation.
