The Tigers got bonus points in eight of their nine wins at the Hearnes Center Wednesday.
REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2013-14)
? Wiest competed in three tournaments at 141 pounds as a redshirt junior, picking up seven wins in total.
? Took a third-place finish at the Kaufman-Brand Open including an overtime decision (3-2) win over Missouri's Brandon Rice.
? Of his seven wins, two were by technical fall and one was by pin.
REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2012-13)
? Outside of competing in six tournaments for the Tigers, Wiest earned a spot on the starting lineup in two duals this season.
? Earned his first dual start against Nick Haugan of Baker; Wiest won by decision, 7-6.
? Took fifth place at the Kaufman-Brand Open, winning 3-1 over Missouri's Brandon Rice in the fifth-place match.
? Finished fourth at the Roger Denker Open, winning five of his seven matches, including two pins.
? Earned third place at the Grand View Open, his only loss coming against Northern Iowa's Clay Weltzer.
? Wiest went 28-12 on the season including six wins via pins.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2011-12)
? Competed in five tournaments as an attached wrester - three at 149 pounds and two at 157 pounds.
? Placed fifth at the UCM Open, going 4-2 in his matches for the day.
? Finished in fourth place at both the Roger Denker and MVC Opens, collecting 11 wins between the two tournaments at 157 pounds.
? Had a season record of 21-10 including one pin and one major decision.
? Took his redshirt in his first season with the Tigers, competing in one tournament at 149 pounds and three tournaments at 157 pounds.
? First collegiate match win occurred by decision, 7-2, against Michael Giorgio (MMI) at the Lindenwood Open.
? Wiest picked up 11 wins total on the season, including one pin and one major decision.
FORT ZUMWALT WEST HIGH SCHOOL (O'FALLON, MO.)
? Picked up two third-place and two fourth-place finishes at state.
? Amassed 151 career wins, capped off by a 46-4 senior season where he registered 19 victories by fall.
? Helped his team to runner-up finishes in 2007 and 2009.
? In 2007, finished seventh in freestyle at the Fargo Wrestling Nationals.
? Graduated a member of the Honor Roll.
? Trevor Wiest was born to Mike and Melissa Wiest on Jan. 4, 1992 in Blue Springs, Mo.
? His mother is a veterinarian who graduated from Mizzou.
? Has one brother, Brandon, who is a former wrestler for the Missouri team.
