- Wrestled to a record of 19-8 during redshirt season, placing at four open tournaments at 149 pounds.
- Placed fifth at 149 pounds at the Roger Denker Open (Jan. 21), recording a fall (4:38) over Symon Seaton to claim fifth.
- Won the 149 pound freshman/sophomore division at the Lindenwood Open (Nov. 18), winning two matches by bonus points (one fall, one major decision) en route to the title.
- Placed third at 149 pounds at the Maryville Brand Kaufman Open (Nov. 11) following a 5-1 performance which included one win my major decision and one by fall.
- Placed fifth at 149 pounds at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open (Nov. 4) after a 2-2 record.
