Biography

2013-2014: Krischke competed in five open tournaments for the Tigers in his redshirt season. At 141 pounds, he placed sixth at the UCM Open after picking up four wins, two of which were technical falls where he rendered his opponents scoreless. Competing in the freshman/sophomore division at the Joe Parisi Open, Krischke dominated with three wins by falls, one by technical fall, and one by decision to claim the title. He took second at the Kaufman-Brand Open, losing only to Missouri's own Trevor Jauch in the final match of the tournament. He finished his 2013-14 season with a 17-9 mark overall.

High School: Krischke wrapped up his high school career just short of winning his first state title, falling to Seckman's Brock Wingbermuehle in a 7-3 decision in the 132-pound final. He reached the Class 4 semifinals in each of his four high school seasons, finishing fourth at 103 in 2010, fourth at 112 in 2011 and sixth at 126 as a junior before being runner-up in 2013. Krischke ended his career with the Jaguars with a career record of 183-30. He was also a two-time Folkstyle National All-American. He lettered four times in wrestling.

Personal: James was born to Vito and Diane Krischke on March 3, 1995, in St. Louis, Mo. He has two older brothers, Vito Jr. and Herbert. Vito Jr. is a Mizzou Wrestling alum. James plans on majoring in Business at Mizzou, and hopes to go to Law school following graduation.
