Waters joins the Tigers for his first season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach. Waters competed for the Tigers from 2010-2015 and was a four-time NCAA National Tournament Qualifier and a two-time All-American. He notched a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships in 2015.

He finished his career with a record of 136-14, making him a part of an exclusive few who have recorded 100 wins in their careers with Mizzou. He is tied for the second-most wins in program history and is considered one of the fastest to reach the 100-win mark. Waters holds two of the top-10 season winning percentages in program history, as well as the third highest career winning percentage.

 Following graduation, Waters has continued to competitively wrestle. He competed in both the 2016 Olympic Team Trials and the 2017 World Team Trials, where he finished just shy of qualifying.
