Kimberli Pemberton enters her third year with the MU Sports Information staff as assistant sports information director. She is the primary contact for the women's basketball and volleyball teams.
Prior to joining the Missouri staff, Pemberton served as assistant sports information director at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for one year. At UTC, she served as the primary contact for women's basketball, volleyball and softball teams. She also assisted with football and men's basketball game-day duties.
From 1993-95, Pemberton served as an intern at the University of Kentucky. At UK, she was responsible for the publicity efforts of the women's volleyball, gymnastics, tennis, golf and track and field teams. She was responsible for the publicity of Jenny Hansen, a three-time NCAA gymnastics champion. She also assisted with football, women's basketball and men's basketball duties.
She has been involved in hosting NCAA volleyball championships and staffing numerous NCAA and conference basketball championships.
A native of Louisville, Ky., Pemberton earned her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Louisville in 1993.
