1991-92:
MIZZOU: Played in 19 games as a freshman, starting five. Suffered a sprained knee midway through Big Eight action, missing six games during recovery. Started the Tigers' first two games during the Thanksgiving holiday in the Indiana tournament. Averaged 2.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. A quick guard who owns a soft shooting touch. Collected 22 steals and dished out 33 assists to tie fellow freshman Stacy Williams for the top rookie numbers. Scored a career-high seven points and pulled down a career-best seven rebounds versus Chicago State on Dec. 18. Handles the ball well and could see time at the point guard position.
HIGH SCHOOL: Averaged 18.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game throughout her prep career, leading her Southeast High team to state championship titles as a junior and senior. Was the Nebraska USA Today "Player of the Year" for the second year in a row. A Converse All-American and a Street and Smith honorable mention All-American. Tabbed the 1989 Naismith Nebraska "Player of the Year." Selected Miss Nebraska Basketball in 1990 as the state's best prep player. Twice named to the first-team all-state and super-state squads. Closed her prep career with 258 assists and 257 steals. A two-time finalist for Nebraska "Athlete of the Year." Also lettered in golf, volleyball and soccer. As a sophomore, helped the golf team win the state championship. Tabbed a two-time all-city soccer player. Named to the second-team all-state squad as a senior. Member of the National Honor Society.

RUTHERFORD ON FORDHAM: "Amy has matured a lot from her freshman year and has really worked hard this summer. She is in excellent shape and will be playing the point and off-guard positions. Amy has good passing skills and will be looked upon for her outside shooting. She displays a great enthusiasm for the game and has the ability to be a great floor leader. I have high expectations for Amy this season."
