1988-89 (Junior): Improved tremendously in the conference season after transferring from Moberly Junior College... Averaged 10.6 points in the Big Eight season, compared to 8.7 overall... A point guard who makes things happen by driving the lane to score or dishing out one of her 3.2 assists per game... Had 93 total assists to lead the Tigers... Scored a career-high 17 against Oklahoma and had nine rebounds against the Sooners for a career high... Was selected honorable mention.
Rutherford on Brooks: “Marcia will be responsible for running the fast break and motion offense. She plays the one- or two-position with a lot of confidence and poise. She's a great passer and has really improved her shooting abilities. We're expecting Marcia, as a senior, to lead the team with her quickness and great athletic abilities.”
1987-88 (Sophomore, Moberly Junior College): A true point guard who is a good passer and solid three-point shooter... Transfer from Moberly Junior College where she averaged 20.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game as a sophomore... Also shot 49 percent from the field and 74 percent from the line with 99 assists and 63 steals... Was a Kodak Junior College All-American last year in addition to making the Region 16 and national championship all-tournament teams... Helped lead Moberly to fifth place at the tournament and a 29-4 record last year.

High School: All-state basketball her junior and senior seasons at Bayview High... Bayview was second at state her senior year and fifth as a senior... Also played soccer in high school.
