Started one of 29 games as a sophomore, averaging 5.4 points per game and scoring in double figures four times. Averaged 10 minutes of playing time as a freshman, including a start against Kansas.
Rutherford on Bax: “Sharon brings a lot of leadership to the team. She will be playing more at the forward position and looked upon as an outside threat. She is an extremely hard worker and will be looked upon for her aggressive style of play at both ends of the floor, as well as her rebounding ability.”
1987-88:
College: Showed promise of good things to come during her rookie season. Scored career high of 10 points against Bradley and Iowa State. Had eight rebounds in that same ISU contest. Averaged 10 minutes of play, including starting the Kansas game. Should see more action this season.

High School, Personal: Averaged 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists for Fatima High School last year. Fatima posted a 26-2 record and advanced to the Class 3A quarterfinals. Was named first-team all-state two years and all-district four years. Had 1,561 career points. Converse honorable mention all-American. Second in state in free throw percentage, in all classes. Sister Peg played softball at Missouri. National Honor Society member. Bio-chemistry major with thoughts toward medical school. Parents are Bob and Rosella. Born 12-12-67.
