RUTHERFORD ON SANDBOTHE: "Lisa will have to continue to be a leader this year and take control if we're going to be successful. She will have to become more of a scoring threat and keep up her great rebounding abilities. Lisa has great potential at the forward and center positions. I feel that with her dedication and work ethic, she will have a great senior year."

1988-89 (Sophomore): Lacked consistency in 1988-89 but will hopefully play up to her potential... Scored 20 or more points six times and rebounded in double digits five times... Hit a career-high 24 points against Illinois State and Iowa State... Pulled down 12 rebounds versus Southwest Missouri State for a career best... Was tabbed for the Big Eight Postseason Tournament team after collecting 24 points against Iowa State and 19 versus Colorado... Has 51 career blocks, good enough for eighth on Mizzou's all-time list.

Rutherford on Sandbothe: “Lisa has worked hard and really improved her total game. She will be playing both forward and post positions. She has improved her range and will be used more at the forward position. She is a very strong player and will be counted on to score.”

1987-88 (Freshman): Versatile athlete who can play either forward or center... Enjoyed a solid rookie season... Started 13 games and played in all 29... Scored in double figures 8 times, including a career high 16 against Oklahoma... Averaged 6.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game... Over the last eight games, she averaged 11.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game... Also had 8 blocks, 11 steals and 12 assists while shooting 54 percent from the field... Led the Tigers with 23 blocks on the season.

Rutherford on Sandbothe: "Lisa started for us midway through the season last year and continued to improve every game. She has a lot of potential at the post and forward positions. She is a very strong player and always a threat on offense. She loves the game and will only improve each day with her determination and enthusiasm for the game."

High School: Three-time all-state selection... Honorable mention all-America on the Street and Smith, Converse and Parade teams... Four-year all-conference player... Versatile athlete who can play either forward spot or center. Should be a factor this season.
