1979-80 (McLennan Junior College): Playmaker transferred to Missouri after two years at McLennan Junior College in Waco, Texas... Averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds per game last season from the wing and post positions, but Rutherford plans to use her at the guard slot... Possesses good speed and quickness, but will have to adjust to Missouri system... A real hustler, she won all-conference and all-region honors last season... Participated in the NJAA Region V All-Star Game (as did teammate Myron Smith).
HIGH SCHOOL: An all-state guard on the state championship team as a junior and senior... Earned Dallas all-metro honors... Good high school coaching and background puts her ahead of many players... Captain of the volleyball team, won all-district honors as a spiker... Participated in track as well
Personal: Favorite athlete is Gus Williams... Plans to major in journalism… Daughter of Myrtle Wilson… WHY I CHOSE MIZZOU: 1. Coach Rutherford, 2. Good academic tradition, 3. Enjoyable social life.
