1982-83 (Junior): Started first 17 games of the 1982-83 campaign before suffering serious leg injury against Kansas in mid-season ... That setback kept her out of the lineup for the remainder of the year, but the senior is back at full strength for her last season ... Before her injury, Walker had been in double-digit scoring figures in 14 contests ... Excellent jumper with a soft touch around the basket ... Named to the 1982 Mid-America Classic all-tournament team ... Was also a member of the Wayland Baptist Invitational all-tourney team last November ... Led the team in rebounding as a junior with an 8.2 average per game.

1981-82 (Sophomore): Missouri's second leading scorer all last season with a 12.7 average ... Led team in rebounding with an 8.2 average ... Her 269 season rebounds put her in third place among Missouri's single-season rebound leaders ... Pulled down 15 rebounds against St. Louis U. for her personal high ... Best game in '81-82 came against Northwest Missouri State when Walker scored a career-high 28 points on 14-for-18 shooting from the field ... A versatile swing forward, Walker was second in steals last year with 58, and also second on the team with 25 blocked shots ... Led Tigers in rebounding in 15 games and in scoring nine times ... An excellent jumper who is one of Missouri's quickest players.

1980-81 (Freshman): Could be Mizzou's most improved player after a full summer of high
caliber competition... Came on strong at the end of the 80-'81 season, scoring personal high 17 points in Tigers' final regular season game against Missouri-St. Louis (Feb. 24, 1981) to lead Missouri to its 20th win... High rebounding effort was 11 versus Southern
Illinois (Jan. 31, 1981)... Walker saw action in 30 games and could start this season with her
quickness and jumping ability... Is expected to shoot more this year.

High School: Cited as the No. 1 player in northern Indiana by Hoosier Basketball magazine... Won first-team all-state after senior season of 20 points and 15 rebounds per game... Spent much of summer playing for various all-star teams... Scored 26 points in the two-game Indiana-Kentucky all-star series... Was named MVP of the Gary (Ind.) East All-Stars... High games as a prepster were 34 points and 20 rebounds... Very quick and a good leaper... Quality of summer competition was good, but will have to adjust to guard position... Tigers' tallest guard... Chose Missouri over Kansas, Louisville, Washington and Central Missouri State.

Personal: Lists NBA Basketball Guide as favorite book, Magic Johnson as favorite player and basketball as hobby... Majoring in physical education... Born December 4, 1961... Daughter of Hattie Walker... WHY I CHOSE MIZZOU: 1. The coaching staff, 2. Academic and athletic opportunities, 3. Liked the campus.
