1981-82 (Sophomore): Finished sophomore season as a starter with 8.4 point and 7.5 rebound averages ... Her rebound mark was second highest on the squad ... Pulled down a season-high 18 rebounds against Kansas State, the second highest total for one game in Tiger history ... Led the team in rebounding eight times during sophomore campaign ... Best scoring game last season was 17 points against Stephen F. Austin State ... 1981's high total of 23 points came in postseason play against Minnesota ... One of two Tigers named to the all-tournament team at the 1981 Mid-America Classic ... The Tigers' second most accurate free throw shooter with a .747 mark.

1980-81 (Freshman): Showed most improvement among newcomers on the '80-'81 squad as a freshman and ended the season with 14 starts while appearing in 29 contests ... Led the Tigers in rebounding in 14 games and set individual record for most rebounds (17) against both Delta State (Jan. 3, 1981) and Minnesote (March 14, 1981)... Came on strong in last half of season to up scoring average to 7.9 and rebounding average to 7.8 per game ... Will play both post and forward positions this campaign ... Schwander has an exceptional shot from the baseline and is one of the Tigers' main offensive threats ... Finished last year with .802 free-throw percentage mark... Was team's leading rebounder in 14 of last 21 games.

High School: Averaged nearly 23 points and 17 rebounds per game while leading Butler to a 25-4 record last season... garnered 2A all-district and all-state honors the past two seasons... her A.A.U. team won its Junior Olympic regional last spring and Schwander was named the tourney's MVP... squad finished fourth nationally and she made the A.A.U.
