1979-80: One of the Tigers' most tenacious defensive specialists. Was a valuable sixth player in '78-'79, starting only three games but seeing action in 29 contests. Averaged 5.5 ppg and 4.1 rpg with 159 total points, and has scored 244 points in two years.

Best rebounding performance was 13 against Northwest Mo. St. in the state tournament semifinals. Scored in double figures in five games, including a season high 17 vs. Nebraska-Omaha. Hit .471 from the charity stripe on 43-for-58 shooting.

Garnered a spot on the 1978 National Junior Olympic squad, and was also chosen to the '78 National Sports Festival Midwest team. Was awarded 1st team all-state 5A honors in Kansas after her senior year at Shawnee Mission South H.S., averaging 16 points and 15 rebounds per game in high school.

Rutherford calls Plummer "much improved in all aspects of the game. She will be a key to our defense and rebounding this year."

Also lettered three years in track and volleyball at Shawnee Mission. Majoring in marketing. Born Nov. 2, 1959.

1977-78: Lisa has a good shooting range and can play the high-low post, or on the wing. Coach Rutherford said, “She is aggressive on the boards and has that great shooting ability. She is definitely in the running for a starting position. Lisa is very skilled for a freshman.”

In high school Lisa maintained a 3.2 grade point. She plans to major in business at Mizzou.

Some of the other sports Lisa played in high school were volleyball and track & field. But basketball was her stellar sport. She was awarded 1st team all-state 5A by the K.C. Star and Topeka Journal, 2nd team all-state by the Wichita Ledger, and All-Metro by the Star.
