1977-78: Priscilla, known as “Chirp,” is a transfer from Northern Iowa Community College. She played for an outstanding team there that finished 4th at the national tournament in 1977. Her experience is a great asset according to Rutherford. Priscilla was selected for the All-Iowa team that faced the Russian Olympic team last year.
Coach Rutherford said, “She is strong and big enough to play either forward or guard. Chirp has an excellent outside shot and isn’t afraid to use it.”
Personal: Rust had a 3.24 GPA at NIACC, and made the Dean’s List. She also plays softball, making all-state in high school, and all-tournament at the statewide J.C. tournament last year.
