1977-1978: The Missouri coaches all are looking for a stellar season from this co-captain. Although she had knee surgery over the summer, coach Rutherford said, "She is at full strength and better than ever." Alt is capable of dominating a game, with her aggressive play under the boards.
Suzanne was one of only three players to see action in all 40 games last year. She was the fourth leading scorer on the team last year, averaging 9.98 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. Suzanne peaked at the end of the season, playing her best at the nationals, where she averaged 10.3 points and hit 55% of her shots. Her biggest strength is her ability to get the ball off the defensive boards and into the Tiger's fast break.
The senior pivotman is active in many areas on campus. Besides playing basketball, the Physical Education major competed in Track and Field, placing 5th in the regional discus competition and competing at the nationals in 1976. She is a member of the education honorary society, is a University Scholar, and her 3.7 GPA earned her Dean's list commendation.
Suzanne earned the Ruby J. Cline Scholarship last year as the outstanding physical education major, and is vice president of the women's letter club.
