College: Junior college transfer from Cowley County Community College. Coach Joann Rutherford expects her to step in right away and give the Tigers quality minutes. Averaged 10.8 points and 6.3 rebounds for Cowley County last season. Cowley posted a 25-8 record while winning the conference and regional championships. Was an honorable mention All-American as well as all-regional in 1988-89. Selected team MVP for her performance.
High School, Personal: Collected 10 points and eight rebounds per game as a senior at Topeka High. Was all-state her senior season and was all-league and all-city her final three seasons. Twice an all-city and all-conference honoree. Undecided upon her college major. Parents are Melvin Russell and Marilyn Russell. Born 12-10-68.
