Here is one freshman that is sure to have her hands in a little bit of everything. Mary was the president of her high school band, vice president of the National Honor Society, played softball, track, and tennis along with basketball. She also found time to hit the books, to the tune of a 3.98 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and was the senior class salutatorian.
On the court she made all-district as a freshman, and was the team MVP. As a junior she was a high school all-American, and as a senior Mary was MVP, all-district and 1st team all state. She led her team to a 2nd place finish in the state championship last year.
Coach Rutherford said of McCutchan, “She is very poised, a smooth player. She has a good touch on the ball and good game awareness. She is very coachable and is always looking to improve.”
