Out-of-state recruiting is important, and Laura could develop into a real catch. She holds her high school record for points scored, rebounding and field goal percentage (63%). She averaged 33 points per game her senior year.
Coach Rutherford discussed Laura’s potential: “She can give us the height and shooting we need in the middle. She lacks experience in defense and the full court game, due to Iowa state rules. Laura has a good hook from both sides, and has a nice touch with the ball.”
Laura wants to major in Parks and Recreation.
She was the co-captain of her team for two years. She was the MVP her sophomore and senior years, and All-Mississippi Valley Conference for two years. She was named honorable mention all-state by four different newspapers and all-quad city for two years.
