Hunter's track career takes another big leap

YEAR-BY-YEAR

2010:
Indoor: Competed in the high jump at three meets for the Tigers, including at the Big 12 Championships where he cleared 2.00m (6-6 ¾) ... Set his season-best mark of 2.01m (6-7) at the ISU Classic, his first high jump competition of the season ... Also competed at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge where he cleared 1.93m (6-4).

2007:
Outdoor: Redshirt season. Indoor: Placed 10th at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the high jump (6-5¾, 1.98m) ... leapt to season's best of 6-7 (2.01m) in the heptathlon at the Iowa State Classic ... in first career combined event, placed ninth at the Iowa State Classic (4,666).

2006:
Outdoor: Grabbed season best at Missouri Relays with leap over 6-6¾ (2.00m) ... repeated 6-6¾ mark at the USATF Junior Championships, placing ninth. Indoor: Had a season best of 6-7½ in the high jump at the Missouri All-Comers ... placed 12th at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the high jump.

High School:
Named Track & Field News High School All-American in 2005 ... AAU Junior Olympic High Jump Champion in 2005 ... Jumped over the 7-0 bar at the Show-Me State Games in July 2005 ... 2005 MSHSAA Class 2 High Jump Champion ... district champ in four events including all jumps and 400-meter dash ... also played basketball and baseball at Hallsville ... high school bests - HJ, 6-10¼; LJ - 22-5½; TJ, 44-2½ ... high school coach - Ty Sides.
