| In only two seasons at Missouri (2015-17) after transferring from Western Kentucky, Fabian Schwingenschlögl earned all-America swimming honors nine times and in 2016 won Mizzous first NCAA individual championship in the 100-meter breaststroke. A native of Nuremberg, Germany, he also placed third in the 200-meter breaststroke in 2016 to own the two highest finishes by a Mizzou male swimmer in program history. In 2017, Fabian was the national runner-up in the 100 breast at the NCAAs with a time of 50.77 seconds the third fastest time in NCAA history. He also swam legs on Tiger medley relay teams that took third in the 400 and fourth in the 200 at the 2017 championships. He swam in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics representing Germany and advanced to the 100-meter breaststroke semifinals. He also competed at the 2018 European Aquatic Championships and the 2019 World Championships. |
