2019-20 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR, Hawaii)
- Set Hawaii's career assists record in just three campaigns with 437 dimes.
- Led the Big West Conference in assists for two consecutive seasons in 2018-19 and 2019-20, including 161 as a junior.
- Started 68 consecutive games and 88 of 91 games with the Rainbow Warriors.
- Averaged 9.4 points, 5.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds as a junior.
- Shot 40.5 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free throw line over his career in Honolulu after shooting 36.2 percent from the floor and 72 percent from the charity stripe as a junior.
- During one four-game stretch recorded 42 assists to just seven turnovers.
- Posted two double-doubles: 12 points and 12 assists vs. UCSB and 19 points and a career-high 11 rebounds at Cal Poly.
- Had two 20-point games both in wins, notching 20 points vs. Cal State Fullerton and a career-best 25 points versus San Francisco.
- Second on the team in rebounding (4.5 rpg) and minutes (34.9 mpg).
2018-19 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE, Hawaii)
- Started all 31 games as a sophomore, averaging 8.8 ppg, 5.4 apg and 4.3 rpg.
- Earned team’s Riley Wallace Leadership Award.
- Set a new single-season record for most assists by a Hawaii sophomore with a career-best 168 dimes.
- Posted at least seven assists in 12 games.and scored in double-digits in 12 games.
2017-18 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN, Hawaii)
- Started 27 of 30 games, leading the team in assists with 108 and steals with 46.
- Averaged 13.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.0 steals as a sophomore.
- Ranked 3rd in the Big West in steals per game (1.5).
2016-17 (FRESHMAN, Hawaii)
- Opted to take a redshirt season as a freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL:
- A three-time All-Moore League selection.
- Helped Long Beach Poly High School to a league championship each of his three seasons.
- Averaged 9.8 points per game as a senior despite playing through a major portion of his season with a leg injury.
- Earned Long Beach Gazette’s Iron Man of the Year and the team’s Most Inspirational award.
- Helped team to the 2016 CIF Southern State Regional championship.
- Averaged 8.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.4 steals per game as a junior.
PERSONAL:
- Born in Long Beach, Calif.
- The third Long Beach native to play hoops at Mizzou since 2000, alongside current Brooklyn Nets assistant coach Travon Bryant and former guard Wesley Stoke
- Earned his bachelor's degree in communications from Hawaii in the spring of 2020.
- Son of Andrew and the late Mary Buggs, and has two younger sisters and one younger brother.
- Father, Andrew, played football at Iowa State.
