Dalon King

Dalon King is in his third season with the Missouri men’s basketball program and his first as the team’s Director of Basketball Operations.

During his first two seasons with the Tigers, King served as the program’s Coordinator of Scouting and Analytics. He helped Mizzou post one of its best campaigns in years during the 2022-23 season as MU tallied 25 victories – its most in 11 years – and capped the campaign with its first NCAA Tournament victory in 13 years.

Prior to his arrival in Columbia, King spent five seasons at Cleveland State, including the final three years under current Mizzou head coach Dennis Gates. His final season with the Vikings, Kings served as assistant director of basketball operations – assisting the coaching staff during on-campus recruiting visits, overseeing the team of graduate assistants and coordinating team travel and meals. He also enjoyed a stint as a graduate assistant from 2019 to 2021 at CSU.

During his time with the Vikings, CSU captured back-to-back regular-season Horizon League titles in 2021 and 2022, while also claiming the league’s tournament crown in 2021 and earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

King earned his bachelor’s in history from Cleveland State in 2019 before completing a master’s in 2021.
