2019 SEASON
Three-yearstarter at center for Mizzou who was heralded for his leadership, strength and durability as one of the anchors along Mizzou’s stacked offensive line … Started the final 38 games of his career before declaring early for the NFL Draft … Started all 12 games in 2019, and was part of an offensive line group that allowed just 6.08 tackles for loss and 2.25 sacks per game, one year removed from leading the SEC in both categories … Was the team’s 2017 Team Underclassman Leadership Award recipient and earned SEC All-Freshman honors that season … Signed with the Baltimore Ravens following the 2020 NFL Draft.
2018 SEASON
In his second year as a starter and has developed into one of college football’s elite centers … Started all 13 games and was a key performer for a line that helped the offense end the 2018 season ranked 13th nationally (third in the SEC) in total offense (481.8 avg.), 18th nationally (third in the SEC) in scoring (36.6 avg.) and 18th nationally (third in the SEC) in third down conversions (46.4%) ... The Tiger front five was especially stout once again at preventing negative plays -- Mizzou ranked sixth nationally (first in the SEC) in fewest tackles for loss allowed (4.00 avg.) and eighth nationally (first in the SEC) in fewest quarterback sacks allowed (1.00 avg.) ... Perhaps most impressive was the fact that Mizzou was one of only three Power Five offenses to throw for at least 279 yards per game, while rushing for at least 200 yards per game ... The other two were national champion Clemson (279 passing/248 rushing) and CFP semi-finalist Oklahoma (322 passing/247 rushing).Â
2017 SEASON
Established himself as one of the top young offensive linemen in the rugged SEC, as he won the starting center job in fall camp, and anchored the line all year long, making all 13 starts in his first year of action for Mizzou’s record-setting offensive attack ... Mizzou led the SEC (ranking eighth nationally) in total offense for the second-straight season ... The offensive line led the nation in fewest tackles for loss allowed for the second-straight season (2.85), and also led the SEC in fewest sacks allowed (1.0 per game - fifth nationally), while the Tiger offense also led the SEC in passing efficiency (fourth nationally), and scoring offense (14th in NCAA) ... Despite his youth and playing inexperience, he quickly became a leader on the line and the entire offense, and he was honored by the coaching staff with the team’s outstanding underclassman leadership award at the end of the season.
2016 SEASON
Redshirt season ... Was impressive enough in the weight room to be awarded the team’s Lifter of the Year award at the post-season honors banquet.
