Bryce Sorrier joined the University of Missouri Athletics Department in June 2026 as Director of Football Sports Medicine.
In his role, Sorrier oversees the medical care of Mizzou Football student-athletes, directing injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation efforts while working closely with team physicians, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning staff, nutritionists and coaches. He is responsible for coordinating comprehensive rehabilitation plans, managing emergency medical protocols, monitoring student-athlete health throughout the season and ensuring compliance with NCAA and university medical standards to provide the highest level of care.
Sorrier arrived at Missouri after serving four years as Head Football Athletic Trainer at the University of Memphis from 2022-26. During his tenure, he oversaw all aspects of sports medicine for the Tigers' football program while providing comprehensive healthcare and rehabilitation services for student-athletes.
Prior to Memphis, Sorrier spent two seasons as Head Football Athletic Trainer at Georgia Southern University after serving as the program's Assistant Football Athletic Trainer from 2018-20. Before joining the Eagles, he worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Eastern Michigan University, providing medical coverage for multiple Olympic sports from 2016-18.
From 2013-16, Sorrier spent time at Owasso High School in Oklahoma, where he oversaw sports medicine operations for the football, baseball and boys' basketball programs.
Sorrier began his full-time athletic training career as an assistant at the University of Arizona. He served as a graduate assistant and assistant athletic trainer from 2009-13, working primarily with women's basketball and track & field student-athletes.
A native of Statesboro, Georgia, Sorrier earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of Georgia (2009) before completing a master's degree in Teacher and Teaching Education at the University of Arizona (2011).
Sorrier and his wife, Amanda, have three children—Savannah, Maggie and Nelson—and a dog, Stinson.
