2014 SEASON
Appeared in 13 games for the Tigers, starting the last 10 games of the season at right tackle ... Team went 8-2 with him starting at right tackle.
2013 SEASON
Appeared in four games on the season, which marked the first action he received in his career ... contributed in wins against Murray State (Aug. 31), Arkansas State (Sept. 28), Tennessee (Nov. 2), and Kentucky (Nov. 9).
2012 SEASON
Was primed for a big role as part of the offensive line rotation, as he began the fall at No. 2 on the depth chart at right tackle (after getting a lot of time during the spring at the No. 1 spot there due to other injuries across the line), but was lost for the season early in fall camp with a knee injury ... still took care of business in the classroom, though, and was named to the SEC 2012 Academic Honor Roll team for his efforts.
2011 SEASON
Redshirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL
Was a 1st-Team All-State pick as a senior when he graded out at 96 percent and allowed no sacks while amassing 26 knock down blocks in 2010 ... did not allow a quarterback sack in his final two years of play ... was ranked by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 53 offensive tackle prospect, and is also the No. 81 overall prospect at any position coming out of the state of Texas ... also won First-Team All-State honors as a junior when he graded out at 93 percent and had 22 more knock down blocks ... high school coach - Chris Koetting.
PERSONAL
Parents - Jim & Sandy Chappell ... an outstanding student who was a First-Team Academic All-State selection as a senior and who was an Academic All-District pick for three years ... wants to study sports medicine or physical therapy and listed MU's new sports medicine degree program as one of many important factors in his choosing to be a Tiger ... lists hobbies as reading, watching TV and playing video games ... chose Mizzou over Texas Tech, California, UCLA, Arizona and Wake Forest, among many others.
