Two-sport athlete at Clayton High School, earning letters in both football and track and field ... Was a 3rd-Team all-state defensive end as a senior during the 2004 season, and also earned 1st-Team all suburb at both defensive end as well as offensive line ... Played on the Clayton team which won the 2004 Missouri Class 4 state championship with a 27-26 overtime win over Webb City ... Had 10 tackles in the title game, including 1 QB sack ... Ended his senior year with 80 tackles on defense, and a school-record 12 QB sacks ... Was a team captain in both sports, including two years in track, and one year in football ...
