2008 OUTLOOK
One of the more intriguing and outstanding stories in all of college football, going from an unheralded walk-on kicker with one game of high school kicking experience, to suddenly becoming one of the nation's top kickers ... Has put up incredible numbers over the last two years after winning the kicking job, as he's made 151-of-157 combined kicks in 2006 and 2007 (39-of-45 FGs, 112-of-112 PATs) ... Has already broken numerous school kicking and scoring records, and with 229 career points scored, he needs just 56 more to break Brad Smith's MU career scoring record of 284 (2002-05) ... Has never missed a kick of any kind in Big 12 games in his two years, going a perfect 90-of-90 overall (26-of-26 FGs, 64-of-64 PATs) against conference foes in 2006 and 2007 ... Carries a string of 64 consecutive combined made kicks into the 2008 season, as he made his last 64 kicks of 2007 (48 PATs, 16 FGs), since his last miss - a 3^rd-quarter missed FG in game #4 in 2007 against Illinois State (he made 2 PATs later in the game after the missed FGA) ... Is undoubtedly one of the nation's top kickers who should be on the short list of favorites for All-American and national honors such as the Groza Award ... Originally came to Mizzou as a diver on the men's swim team, and was an all-conference performer on both the board and platform in 2004, but gave up his diving scholarship to follow his dream of being a kicker ... Walked on to the football team in 2005, but did not play and decided to give kicking one more try in 2006 before returning to diving for good ... Only previous game kicking experience was in one game as a senior in high school when he won the kicking job for his team, but after kicking 2 extra points in his first game, he broke his hip on a kickoff and was forced to give up the kicking gig.

2007 SEASON
Further established himself as one of the top kickers in the country, as he led the Tigers with 130 points (an MU single-season scoring record), while making 21-of-25 field goals and continued his perfection on extra points, going 67-of-67 ... Ended the year with a consecutive combined made kicks streak of 64 (48 PATs, 16 FGs) ... Missed a 3rd quarter FG try in game 4 vs. Illinois State, made 2 PATs after that, and didn't miss a kick the rest of the year ... Won honorable mention All-American honors for his play according to Sports Illustrated, and was a consensus 1st-Team All-Big 12 honoree as well while winning 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 accolades as well ... Closed the season by making his only FG try in the Cotton Bowl against Arkansas, while making all 5 of his extra point tries ... Made his first two FG attempts and converted on four extra points in the season opener to extend his consecutive combined kicks made to 59 before barely missing left on a 49-yard field-goal attempt in the fourth quarter against Illinois ... The two field goals made were from distances of 27 and 32 yards, with the latter coming in the pressure-packed fourth quarter that extended MUs lead to 40-34 with 8:32 left in the game ... Made 1-of-2 FG attempts against Ole Miss, connecting on a 27-yarder, before missing from 43 yards ... Just missed on a 43-yard attempt against Western Michigan before connecting on a season-long 47 yard attempt ... Was 1-of-2 on FG attempts against Illinois State ... Hit a pair of FG attempts vs. Nebraska (23, 33) ... Was 4-for-4 in extra points attempts against Oklahoma and added a 19-yard FG ... was good on both FG attempts against Texas Tech (21, 39) ... Was good from 36 yards and 48 yards against Iowa State ... The 48-yarder was a season high and came as time expired in the first half ... Made a 27-yarder against Colorado ... Made a 32-yard FG against Texas A&M ... Was good on all seven extra-point attempts against Kansas State ... Made two 43-yard field goals against Kansas ... Made all three FG attempts against Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship (28, 18, 32) ... Was a perfect 56-of-56 in combined kicks in Big 12 games on the season (41-of-41 PATs and 15-of-15 FGs) and has now made 90-consecutive kicks in Big 12 games dating back to last year ... Ranked 2nd among all players in the Big 12 and 12th nationally with the 9.3 points per game average ... Ranked second with an average of 1.50 field goals made per game.

2006 SEASON
One of the feel-good stories in college football, who basically came out of nowhere to become one of the best kickers in the nation after kicking in just one high school game in his entire life prior to winning the starting job at Mizzou in the fall ... Went from relative obscurity to Lou Groza Semifinalist in months, as he won the starting job with a strong fall camp, and in all made 18-of-20 field goals and was perfect on 45-of-45 PATs on the year ... Broke MU records for most points scored in a season by a kicker (99), most field goals made (18), most PATs made (45) most consecutive PATs made in a season (45), highest percentage of FGs (.900) and PATs (1.000) made, and longest field goal made on the road (54 yards at Nebraska) ... Ended the season ranked 2nd in the Big 12 and 15th in the NCAA in FGs (1.38 pg) and was also 3rd in the Big 12 and 20th nationally in scoring (7.62 ppg) ... Made an incredible 63-of-65 combined kicks in all on the year, with his only misses coming on his very 1st collegiate FG try - a 41-yarder in the season opener versus Murray State - and on a 36-yard FG try in the 4th quarter of game #2 against Ole Miss ... After that miss, was perfect, making 53 consecutive combined kicks (15 FGs, 38 PATs) to close the year ... Closed the regular season in fine fashion, as he was perfect on 3-of-3 FGs (44, 27, 23) and 3-of-3 PATs for a career-best 12 points scored ... Early-game jitters weren't an issue, as he was a perfect 4-of-4 on FGs to cap MU's game-opening possessions ... Made at least 1 FG in 12-of-13 games on the season, with the Colorado game being the only game without a FG attempt ... Also scored in double digits in games against Kansas State (11 pts. on 2 FGs, 5 PATs) and Ole Miss (10 pts. on 2 FGs, 4 PATs) ... Made 3-of-3 FGs from 42 yards out or more, including a 54-yarder at the halftime gun at Nebraska that tied for the 2nd-longest FG in MU history (record is 62 yards by Tom Whelihan) ... That kick also broke the MU record for longest FG on the road, as well as the Nebraska Memorial Stadium record for longest FG by an opponent (breaking the old mark of 52 yards by Auburn's Al Del Greco in 1981) ... Named honorable mention All-Big 12 by both league coaches and media ... Naturally won the team's walk-on player of the year ... Is also an outstanding student who earned 1st-Team Academic All-Big 12 honors ... Entered fall camp at No. 2 on the depth chart, but won the job after a back-and-forth battle with incumbent 2-year starter Adam Crossett.

2005 SEASON
Did not see action after joining the team as a walk-on prior to the season.

2004 SEASON
Was a standout freshman diver on the Mizzou men's swimming and diving team ... Produced a top-five performance on the platform and top-10 finishes on the 1 and 3-meter boards at the 2005 NCAA Zone Diving Championships ... Finished fourth in the 1-meter board, fifth on the 3-meter board and sixth on the platform at the Big 12 Championships ... Won the 1-meter competition against SIU ... Took home the win on the 3-meter board while also placing second on the 1-meter board against Missouri State ... Runner-up in the 1-meter field versus Drury ... Set a personal best on the 3-meter board (6 dives) in the triangular with Penn State and Iowa.

HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Blue Valley West High School, where he was a standout prep diver ... Placed second in 2002, and third in 2003 and 2004 at the Kansas State Diving Finals ... Named the Eastern Kansas League Champion in 2001 ... Two-time NISCA All-American ... Placed 23rd at the Junior Nationals Finals ... Received the `01-02 Scholar Athlete of the Year award ... Honor Roll member ... `02, `03, and `04 All-Metro, All-City and All-State selection ... Was also a two-year letterman in soccer, and a member of the football team ... Played football for coach Scott Wright as a senior, but broke his hip after just one game, and was out the rest of the season.

Son of Hank & Susie Wolfert ... Is majoring in plant science at Mizzou ... Is a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie who has jumped off the 75-foot high Hurricane Deck Bridge at the Lake of the Ozarks.
