All-Big Eight Conference and all-America in 1973, Anderson played in the Hula Bowl and Coaches All-American all-star games in 1974, then played in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings from 1974-77. In 1973, he recovered a Nebraska fumble that set up a touchdown and propelled the Tigers to a 13-12 victory in Columbia.
