2017 OUTLOOK
The heir apparent to be the latest in a long line of standout defensive ends for #DLineZOU ... Came on strong late last season, and is primed to be one of the SEC’s most disruptive rush ends ... Missed the last week of spring camp after breaking a bone in his right forearm in a scrimmage, but he’ll be 100% when fall camp rolls around in August.
2016 SEASON
Played in 12 games (five starts) and totaled 33 tackles (19 solo) with 8.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks … Added two pass break-ups and four QB hurries … His 8.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks were the second-most on the team, trailing only DE Charles Harris … Recovered a fumble and tallied two tackles in Mizzou’s season opener against West Virginia (9/3) … Recorded two tackles and one pass breakup in Mizzou’s win over Eastern Michigan (9/10) … Recorded two tackles in Mizzou’s SEC opener against Georgia (9/17) ... Had four tackles with his first sack of the season, an eight-yard loss, with a forced fumble in Mizzou’s 79-0 win over Delaware State (9/24) … Posted two tackles at LSU (10/1) … Was disruptive from his defensive end spot at Florida (10/15), posting five tackles, one pass break-up and a fumble recovery ... Recorded one sack with two quarterback hits against Middle Tennessee (10/22) ... Recorded four tackles against Kentucky (10/29), his third game with four or more tackles this season … Made his second career start at South Carolina (11/5) and nabbed a tackle in that game … Tallied first career multi-sack game with 2.5 sacks against Vanderbilt (11/12) for a total of 16 yards in losses … Continued to produce on defense with a four tackles and a sack for a loss of two against Tennessee (11/19) … Named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week on Nov. 28 after sparking Mizzou’s defense in a 28-24 comeback win over Arkansas (11/25) … Ended the day with four tackles (42 yards in losses) including three sacks (35 yards) and a quarterback hurry.
2015 SEASON
Played in all 12 games, starting three, and tallied eight tackles with six going for a loss including two sacks … Also tallied a forced fumble and four QB hurries on the year … Had a season-high three tackles with 1.5 going for loss at Arkansas State (Sept. 12) … Matched his season-high of three tackles vs. Mississippi State (Nov. 5) … Had tackles for loss against UConn (Sept. 19), South Carolina (Oct. 3), at Georgia (Oct. 17) and vs. BYU (Nov. 14) … His tackle for loss was a strip-sack deep in BYU territory that set up the eventual game-winning score.
HIGH SCHOOL
Appealed to the Mizzou coaching staff thanks to his relentless motor and his ability to play fast across the defensive line … Tabbed a four-star recruit by ESPN, ranking as the fourth-best junior college defensive lineman … ESPN tabbed him as the 24th-best recruit coming out of junior college on its top-50 Junior College list …. three-star recruit by Rivals and 247Sports … First Team All-North California Defensive End in his freshman season at College of Siskiyous … Second Team All-Conference Defensive End and Second Team wide receiver during his senior season of high school … Tallied 32 tackles including 16 tackles for loss and 11 sacks for College of the Siskiyous last season … In all, he had four games with multiple sacks in 2014, including a four-game streak in which he racked up nine of his 11 sacks … Had seven games with multiple tackles for loss as well … As a senior at David Douglas High School in Portland, Ore., was a second-team all-conference defensive end (15 sacks) and wide receiver (756 receiving yards) … Also lettered in basketball and track for his high school … High School Coach – Dan Wood … Junior College Coach – Charlie Roche.
