2019 Season
Physical middle linebacker who played in 10 games as a true sophomore, including a pair of starts following an injury to All-SEC starter Cale Garrett midway through the season … Finished tied for seventh on the team with 33 tackles on the season, including 4.0 tackles for loss and one sack … Also tallied a 42-yard interception down to the opponent one-yard line at Vanderbilt  (10/19) … Posted a career-high eight tackles with a half tackle for loss in the game at Vanderbilt as well … Reset his career-high in tackles in three consecutive weeks, starting with a five-tackle outing against Troy (10/5) and then with six (five solo) against Ole Miss on Homecoming (10/12) before culminating with the eight-tackle performance at Vanderbilt … First career sack also came at Vanderbilt … Posted a career-high 2.0 tackles for loss against Southeast Missouri (9/14).

Hard-nosed player with a high football IQ and raw athleticism who earned his first varsity letter after playing in 11 games as a true freshman linebacker … Saw most of his action on special teams units ... Made a big impression on the coaching staff with his work ethic throughout the course of the year, and he was awarded with a pair of honors at the team's season-ending banquet ... Took home team awards for the Brick Squad Lifter of the Year for his efforts in the strength and conditioning program, while also claiming the team's Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year for his work giving the offense a good look at upcoming opponents each week ... Had an active 2019 Black & Gold Spring Game, as he totaled six tackles - all of them of the solo variety, while also breaking up one pass for the Gold team.
