Indoor Track – Had three top-10 finishes during the indoor season, one in the 1000m run and two in the mile run … Placed eighth (3:03.2) in the 1000m run at the Arkansas Invitational (Jan. 12) … Finished ninth in the mile run at the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 9) with a time of 5:15.26 … Won the mile run with a time of 5:12.39 at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge (Feb. 16).
Outdoor Track – Placed 10th in the 800m run at the Tom Botts Invitational (April 21), posting a time of 2:17.10 … Set a new personal record in the 1500m run (4:42.39) at the Tom Botts Invitational (April 20), finishing 11th.

Shannon ran for Lake Braddock High School in Burke, Va. under the direction of Mike Mangan and Jason Switzer … TRACK & FIELD … Set a national high school record in the Indoor Distance Medley Relay in 2016 and was honored as an All-American in that event … 2017 National Distance Medley Relay Outdoor Champion … Achieved all-state honors in 1600m Outdoor (2016 & 2017), 800m Outdoor (2017), 1600m Indoor (2017) and 1000m Indoor (2016) … Won her first two state titles in 2017 in the 4x8 Outdoor and Indoor events … Honored by the Washington Post with All-Met Honorable Mention three times during the 2016 indoor season and 2017 indoor and outdoor seasons.
