Cross Country – Opened the season by setting the course record at the Commodore Classic (Sept. 16), crossing the finish line in the 5K race at 16:25.4 and earning SEC Runner of the Week and USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week nods … Finished second at the Pre-National Invitational (Oct. 14), resetting her 6K personal record at 19:29.7 and earning SEC Runner of the Week honors … Captured her second consecutive SEC Conference title (Oct. 27), finishing a full 30 seconds ahead of the rest of the field at 19:36.3 to become the sixth runner in program history to repeat as cross country conference champion … Won her second straight NCAA Midwest Regional title (Nov. 10) in her home state of Iowa, crossing the finish line at 19:50.9 … Finished 11th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships (Nov. 18) to record her sixth career All-America honor … Was named the USTFCCCA Midwest Regional Women’s Runner of the Year and the SEC Women’s Runner of the Year, both for the second straight season

Indoor Track – Opened the indoor season by running the fifth-fastest indoor 5000m run time in collegiate history at the BU Season Opener (Dec. 2), crossing the finish line at 15:17.31 … Ran the fifth-fastest collegiate time and set the school record in the mile run at the Columbia Challenge (Jan. 27), crossing the finish line at 4:27.54 … Set the collegiate record and school record in the 3000m run at the Millrose Games, finishing fourth in a field full of professionals with a time of 8:41.60 … Won two conference titles at the SEC Indoor Championships (Feb. 24-25), setting the meet record in the 3000m run (9:00.56) and anchoring the DMR with a split of 4:25.56 … Became the fifth 3K/5K double champion in NCAA history with National Championship performances in the 3000m run and 5000m run at the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 9-10).

Outdoor Track – Set the 10,000m run school record at the Stanford Invitational (March 30), crossing the finish line third in the invitational heat at 32:00.55 … Set her sixth school record and a meet record in the 1500m run at the Tom Botts Invitational (April 20) with a time of 4:12.83 … Was named the Drake Relays Most Outstanding Performer after event wins in the 5000m run (April 26) and DMR (April 28). Set the Drake Relays meet record in the 5000m run, crossing the finish line at 15:23.21. Also named SEC co-Runner of the Week for her performance … Won her eighth career conference title in the 5000m run at the SEC Outdoor Championships (May 13), while also finished runner-up in the 1500 run … Ran the fastest 10,000m run time in NCAA history at the NCAA West Preliminary (May 25), crossing the finish line at 32:14.36 … Finished third in the 10,000m run at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 7) with a time of 32:14.94, which was one of six times that beat the previous meet record of 32:28.57 … Won her sixth NCAA title in the 5000m run at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 9), becoming the sixth woman in NCAA history to win back-to-back outdoor 5000m run titles … Finished her career with six national titles, the most of any student-athlete in Mizzou history, and 10 All-America honors, which matches Kearsten Peoples for the post podium finishes in program history.

Cross Country - Became the first women’s NCAA Cross Country National Champion in program history with a first place finish at the NCAA Championships, passing up four runners in the final 400-meters to take home the crown and finish with a personal-record time of 19:41.60 … Became the first regional champion in program history with a first-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional, helping Mizzou win its first regional title since 2004 … Won the first individual conference championship since 1997 with an SEC Championship, finishing the 6K race at 20:10.6 … Finished fourth at the Pre-National Invitational with a time of 20:14.0 … Placed first in five of six meets on the season, setting and re-setting personal-records in each meet and winning the Commodore Classic, Chile Pepper Festival, SEC Championships, NCAA Midwest Regional and NCAA Championships.

Indoor Track – Started the season by setting the school record in the Boston University Season Opener (Dec. 3) in the 5000m run, crossing the finish line at 15:37.4 … Finished first in the mile run at the Commodore Invitational (Jan. 13), running a 4:41.86 … Won the mile run again at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 28), crossing the finish line at 4:35.61, the second-fastest time in program history … Won the Cliff Harper Trophy at the SEC Indoor Championships (Feb. 24-25) for being the highest point scorer at the meet after claiming conference titles in the mile run (4:37.44) and 3000m run (9:18.32) … Earned two All-America honors in the 5000m run and 3000m run at the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 10-11), winning the national title in the 5000m by setting the school record with a time of 15:19.14 and finishing runner-up in the 3000m run with a time of 9:09.33.

Outdoor Track – Opened the outdoor season by setting the then-school record in the 5000m run at the Stanford Invitational (March 31), crossing the finish line at 15:39.75 … Finished second in the 1500m run at the Crimson Tide Invite (April 8) by running the second-fastest time in program history at 4:15.77 … Was elevated to the 1500m run invitational at the Drake Relays (April 28), finishing eighth at 4:18.16 in a race which featured 11 professional runners and six Olympians … Captured her fourth career conference title at the SEC Outdoor Championships (May 12-13), finishing first in the 5000m run with a time of 15:51.76 and second in the 1500m run at 4:18.42 … Finished first in the 5000m run at the NCAA West Preliminary (May 27) at 16:24.07 to clinch second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships … Won her third NCAA Title at the NCAA Championships in the 5000m run (June 10), re-setting the school record in the race with a time of 15:38.93 and becoming the first female athlete in Mizzou Athletics history to win multiple NCAA Titles … Shattered the 5000m run school record at the USA Track & Field Championships, finishing fourth with a time of 15:18.69.

Cross Country - Karissa kicked off her stellar freshman year, which culminated in an SEC Freshman of the Year honor and NCAA Championships qualification, with a fourth-place overall finish at the Illini Challenge, where she crossed in 18:09 for the 5000m course...She was fourth overall, second for the Tigers, at the Forest Park XC Festival, cutting her 5000m time down to 17:37...Her first 6000m race came during the Roy Griak Invitational, where she was once again second across the line for the black and gold, 58th overall (22:28.60)...She took charge of the Tigers during the Greater Louisville Classic, leading the team to a fifth-place finish with a 5000m PR of 17:18.20 and an 11th-place individual crossing...She improved on her 6000m time during the Pre-National Meet in Terre Haute, Ind., timing through in 21:56.20 for 85th in the field...She was 17th overall, second for the Tigers, during the SEC Championships, crossing as the first freshman in the field with a final time of 20:41.20 on the 5800m course, earning the second consecutive SEC Freshman of the Year honor for the Tigers...Karissa led the Tigers once again during the NCAA Midwest Region Championships, timing through in 20:25.60 to earn seventh overall, good for an All-Midwest Regional honor and qualification into the NCAA Championships...She closed her season in Terre Haute, Ind., for the national championship meet, placing 155th in the elite field with a final crossing of 21:36.20.

Indoor Track - Karissa continued to shine during the indoor season, making her mark in the Mizzou history books with some of the fastest times in school history for both the mile and 3000m runs...She started the season with an event win at the Border Battle, crossing in 2:53.19 for the 1000m...Focused on the mile and 3000m runs for the remainder of the season, starting with a tenth-place finish in the mile during the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet (4:46.75)...She was second through the line at during the 3000m run at the Armory Track Invitational, hitting a PR time of 9:25.31...Next up was another PR and second-place finish, this time in the mile during the Tyson Invitational (4:45.02)...Karissa closed her season at the SEC Championships, where she was eighth in the 3000m run (9:40.20) and fifth for the DMR (11:30.08).

Outdoor Track - Karissa closed her freshman year with another NCAA Championships qualification, making the cut for the West Preliminary Round in the 5000m run...The season started, though, with the 3000m run at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational, where she crossed in second overaell (9:35.64)...She focused on the 1500m and 5000m runs for the remainder of the season, starting with a 5000m PR performance at the Stanford Invitational where she was 23rd in the prestigious field with a 16:52.95 crossing...Followed that up with a fifth-place performance in the 1500m run at the John McDonnell Invitational, crossing in 4:28.16...She was part of the 12th-place DMR team at the Drake Relays, and earned 21st as an individual in the 5000m run...She was second in the 1500m run at the Tom Botts Invitational, clocking a new PR of 4:26.34...She also put in her lone 800m run of the season during Tom Botts, taking third in 2:14.54...Karissa donned the black and gold for the SEC Championships, taking 14th in the 1500m and seventh in the 5000m in PR time (16:32.91)...She closed her season with a 32nd-place finish in the 5000m at the NCAA Championships West Preliminary Round (16:56.61).
