University of Michigan (2005-07): During her two years at Michigan, Delaney, under leadership of Head Coach Carol Hutchins, was a member of a Wolverine team that twice made it to NCAA Super Regionals. As a freshman, Delaney helped Michigan to a Big Ten Conference title and saw the Wolverines finish 10th at the end of the season. In Delaney's sophomore campaign (2007), the Wolverine's again finished 10th in the nation, advancing as far as the NCAA Super Regional Tournament.
Freeland: Coached by Dan Behulander, Delaney was a two-time Division Three State Champion with the Freeland High School Falcons. A four year letterman, Delaney received all state first team honors her sophomore (2003), junior (2004) and senior (2005) years and was named Miss Softball Pitcher her senior year (2005). Delaney was also a member of her high school volleyball and basketball teams.
Personal: Stacy Delaney was born Oct. 11, 1986, to Gary and Susan Delaney in Saginaw, Mich. Delaney has two sisters, Kelly (25) and Kari (20) and is majoring in general studies with an emphasis in education.
