2005: Appearing in 31 of Missouri's games, Amy Henke scored 10 runs for the Tigers, the first coming Feb. 18 against Maryland at the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Henke entered the third inning of Missouri's game against No. 22 Southern Illinois at the NCAA Regional Tournament in Columbia, Mo., scoring the Tiger's fifth of nine runs in the shutout victory that helped Missouri into the Regional Championship game against fourth-ranked Stanford. As pinch runner, Henke was 2-for-2 in stolen bases, swiping bags in games against Texas Tech on April 10 and North Dakota State, April 27. Henke took her first collegiate at-bat, Feb. 26, against Ball State and hit a single to third base. Henke pinch hit twice at a .500 clip and played errorless second base coming off the bench.
McCluer High School: Playing shortstop, catcher and outfield, Henke was a first team All-Conference member of the McCluer High School softball team as a sophomore (2002) and senior (2004). Led by Head Coach Bob Pikula, Henke earned four letters with the softball team, earning an additional four letters as a member of the Comets' varsity swim team. Henke was named the Gatorade Iron Woman as a senior in 2004 and recognized as a St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete for her outstanding athletic and academic skills. Henke played with the Classics softball club in St. Louis, under the direction of Head Coach Katie Duffin.
Personal: The oldest of three children, Amy Henke is the daughter of Joe and Janet Henke and sister to Sarah (16) and Joseph (10). Born March 26, 1986, in St. Louis, Henke hails from Florissant and is majoring in English with a Ph.D as her academic goal.
