Dining Around Columbia
Columbia has been hailed by travel writers as one of the best restaurant towns in the Midwest. The number of independently owned and operated restaurants is nearly equal to franchise and chain restaurants. Columbia's south side is a hotspot for locally owned, mid to upscale restaurants and bistros. The Columbia Mall area, the I-70 Corridor and Highway 63 are popular for their abundance of nationally known restaurants. Rocheport, 15 minutes west of Columbia, offers unique dining including the popular Bistro at Les Bourgeois Winery. They have been voted the best BBQ in Columbia 6 years in a row and currently still hold the distinction.
