REDSHIRT SEASON (2021-22)
- Took a redshirt season to compete in freestyle
- Wrestled at 70 kg for the United States in the U23 World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia
- Competed unattached at the Southern Scuffle (Jan. 1-2), wrestling at 157 pounds for the first time in his career and went 4-2
- Wrestled at the U.S. Senior Freestyle Open, finishing in eighth place at 70 kg
JUNIOR (2020-21)

- 2021 NCAA Qualifier (No. 3 seed) at 149 pounds
- 2021 MAC Champion (149 pounds)
- Garnered MAC Wrestler of the Week honors (Feb. 8-14) following two victories, including a ranked win by 10-3 decision
- Entered NCAA Championships with a perfect 17-0 record
- Won first place at the 2020 UWW U23 Nationals prior to the 2020-21 season
- Picked up two ranked wins during the regular season, including beating No. 4, Oklahoma State’s Boo Lewallen 7-5, Feb. 14, at the Cowboy Challenge Tournament
- Won first three bouts at NCAA Championships, March 18-20, eventually losing in the semifinal, 2-1, to UNC’s Austin O’Connor
- Finished the championship tournament with a 3-1 record
SOPHOMORE (2019-20)
- Spent almost the entire year ranked among the national top five at 149 pounds
- 2020 MAC Champion, claiming back-to-back MAC titles to open his career
- Earned the No. 4 national seed in the 149-pound bracket at the NCAA Championships, but was denied the chance to wrestle for his second consecutive All-America honor due to the COVID-19 pandemic
- Finished the season 28-1, leading the team in wins (28) and major decisions (six)
- His .966 winning percentage is the sixth-best single season mark in Tiger Style history
- Defeated seven wrestlers who were ranked in WrestleStat’s top-25 throughout the season, beginning the year with a 6-0 win over No. 21 Brent Moore of Virginia Tech
- One of his signature wins came at Oklahoma State (Feb. 2) against then top-ranked Boo Lewallen, a 5-3 win in the first sudden victory period
- Defeated Clarion’s No. 9 Brock Zacherl to claim the MAC Championship, March 7
- Another key win was over Northern Iowa’s Max Thomsen, Jan. 12, in a 3-1 sudden victory triumph in Cedar Falls
- Earned MAC West Division Wrestler of the Week in consecutive weeks (Jan. 29 and Feb. 5), first doing so for a pair of major decisions to help Mizzou clinch a MAC regular season title and then the following week for defeating Lewallen
- His only loss of the season cam against Wyoming’s Jaron Jensen at the South Beach Duals (Dec. 29-30), but he rebounded to win his final 16 bouts, including the MAC Championship
- Will enter his junior season as one of the favorites to bring home the national title at 149 pounds
FRESHMAN (2018-19)
- Opened up his Tiger career with a stellar 32-5 record, while going a perfect 8-0 in conference
- Took sixth place and earned his first career All-America honor as a true freshman at the NCAA Championships (March 21-23) with four victories over the course of the tournament before falling to Princeton’s Matthew Kolodzik.
- Brought home the MAC Championship at the 149 pounds, capping it with a 6-2 decision over Old Dominion’s Kevin Budock
- Mauller finished 12-1 in dual competition, with a 2-1 record against wrestlers ranked in the top-10
- Started the season on a 10-match winning streak with four of those victories garnering bonus points
- Achieved first place in his first tournament, the Iowa State Harold Nichols Cyclone Open (Feb 24), with a 12-6 victory over ranked wrestler Jarrett Degen from Iowa State
- After earning top honors in his first tournament of the year, Mauller returned to action in the Maryville Kaufman/ Brand/ Bayly Open, Nov. 10, where he once again finished in first place
- Mauller won a 12-3 major decision over fellow Tiger Alex Butler to capture the first-place title at the UNI Open, Jan. 17
- Between December and February, Mauller dominated competition with a 15-match winning streak, including two wins by technical fall and two more by major decision
- Started the final 13 duals at 149 pounds, one of only four Mizzou wrestlers to do so
- Finished third on the team with 12 dual victories, just behind Lewis (16) and Eierman (14)
BEFORE MIZZOU
- As with two of his now teammates, Mauller was a four-time Missouri State Champion in high school, one of very few to accomplish that feat
- Flowrestling ranks him at No. 8 at 145 pounds, and No. 45 overall
- Competed in the 2018 Senior Freestyle World Team Trials
- Claimed three All-America honors, two at the Junior Freestyle Nationals and one at Super 32
