2010: Posted a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000. Singled and drove in a run against Virginia Tech at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Came off the bench and went 2-for-2 against SEMO with a run scored. Got her first start of the year against UMKC, going 1-for-2 with a run and two walks. Made her first collegiate appearance in the circle on March 31 against Saint Louis, throwing two shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out one. Had a career day against Kansas on April 7, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a personal best four RBI, which was capped off by a three-run homer, the first long-ball of her career. Picked up her first career double against SIUE in the second game of a doubleheader. Scored the only run of the first game of the NCAA Super Regional against Oregon in Missouri's 1-0 victory. Recorded her third multi-hit game of the year in game two against Oregon at the NCAA Super Regional. Led off the fourth inning of that game with her second home run of the season.
2009: In 21 appearances, Lisa Simmons scored three runs for Missouri, the first coming Feb. 25 against Saint Louis. Entering the game in the third inning, Simmons advanced home on a ground out to second base. In game one of the afternoon doubleheader, Lisa made her first at bat of the campaign, finishing 1-for-1 with a two out, RBI single to left center.
2008: One of eight freshmen on Missouri's 2008 NCAA Regional Champion squad, Simmons made her first collegiate start Feb. 22 against then No. 22 Washington at the Lobo Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. Simmons' made seven starts as catcher and totaled 28 putouts from her work behind the plate. Used often as a pinch runner, Simmons scored four runs for the Tigers including a run in Missouri's May 23 game against Alabama at the NCAA Super Regional Tournament in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Boonville: A member of the Boonville softball team, Simmons was a pitcher for the Pirate squad, and also played in the outfield and at catcher. Coached by George Monk, Simmons was a three-time all-regional, all-district and all-conference honoree (2005, 2006, 2007) and earned all-state honors her senior season (2007). In addition, Simmons was name the conference most valuable player in 2007. Earning Most Valuable Player honors as a junior (2006) and senior (2007), Simmons earned nine letters playing softball and as a member on the basketball and track and field teams. A four-year member of the honor roll, Simmons earned academic all-conference honors her senior season.
Personal: Lisa is the daughter of Linda Simmons and the late Bob Simmons. Lisa has one sister Jamie (33) and one brother Kevin (29). Simmons was born Sept. 12, 1988, in Jefferson City, Mo., and is majoring in elementary education.
