  • Finished one win shy of All-American honors in his third season as a starter, wrestling to a 18-7 record and a 7-3 dual record
  • Was runner-up at the Southern Scuffle (Jan. 1-2), losing 3-2 to Cade DeVos (SDSU) in the final…Had the fall of the tournament, winning a wild scramble against Matt Finesilver (DUKE) to stick him in the second period
  • After recovering from injury, finished the regular season 2-0 with a 21-6 (5:37) technical fall over ASU’s Zane Coleman and a 9-6 win against Joel Devine (ISU)
  • Recorded two bonus-point victories at the Big 12 Championships (March 5-6) en-route to a runner-up finish…Beat No. 2 seeded DeVos in the semifinal in a 2-0 decision.
  • Won three matches at the NCAA Championships (March 17-19), including a 15-6 major decision over No. 27 seed Sal Perrine (OHIO)…Beat No. 12 seed DeVos (6-2 dec.) and No. 13 seed Finesilver (2-1 dec.), both for the second time on the year

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2020-21)

  • 2021 NCAA Qualifier (No. 10) at 174 pounds
  • Finished the regular season a perfect 9-0, including four ranked wins
  • Tallied back-to-back ranked wins at Iowa State Tri-Dual (Jan. 17), beating No. 33, Northern Iowa’s Lance Runyon, and No. 26, Julien Broderson
  • Beat Broderson by fall in a blistering fast 0:56
  • Won two bouts at NCAA Championships, March 18-20, highlighted by taking down Oklahoma’s Anthony Mantanona in a 12-2 major decision

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2019-20)

  • NCAA qualifier at 165 pounds after posting a 27-12 overall record, earning the nation’s No. 30 overall seed in the weight class
  • Needed an at-large berth to the NCAA Championships after finishing third at the MAC Championships, March 7-8, and was rewarded the berth based on a strong regular season and solid finish at MACs
  • His 27 wins were second on the team, trailing only Brock Mauller who finished with 28
  • His six falls were fourth-most on the team and he closed his season with an incredible 15 bonus-point wins among his 27 wins, adding six major decisions and three technical falls to his ledger
  • Found his stride in December during his first season as a full-time starter, losing just five times from Dec. 14 through the end of the season, finishing the season 19-5 in his final 24 bouts
  • After a controversial loss in the MAC semifinals where he seemingly won the bout before a video review took the win away, he rallied to win two consolation matches to take third, winning both via major decision

REDSHIRT SEASON (2018-19)

  • Ended a strong first year with the Tigers at 9-3, including five victories via fall and one by technical fall
  • Opened his season in the Iowa State Harold Nichols Cyclone Open, Nov. 3, at 157, defeating Northern Illinois’ Pat Schoenfelder and Iowa State’s David Carr in his first two matches
  • Picked up three bonus point victories in his first three matches in the Roger Denker Open, Jan. 20, before dropping the final match to Isaiah Luellen of Fort Hays State, returning with second place honors
  • Won his final four matches all in the Missouri Valley Open, Feb. 2, with three victories via fall, to cap off his freshman season

BEFORE MIZZOU

  • Two-time Wisconsin State Champion
  • Trained under Mizzou legend Ben Askren at the Askren Wrestling Academy during his high school career
  • Recorded a first-place finish in the Wisconsin state freestyle tournament in 2017, and a second-place finish in 2017
  • Finished third at FloNationals in 2017
  • Ranked No. 20 at 152 pounds by Flo Wrestling
  • Finished high school with a 4.56 GPA and intends to major in engineering at Mizzou
