REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2020-21)

  • 2021 NCAA Qualifier (No. 6 seed) at 141 pounds
  • Won first two bouts at NCAA Championships, March 18-20, both by decisions with a 13-3 margin
  • Took down No. 16 Grant Willits (Oregon State) by fall in a lightning fast 0:36, Jan. 3
  • Garnered MAC Wrestler of the Week (Dec. 28 - Jan. 3) honors following dominant 2021 season-opening day at North Dakota State Quadrangular (Jan. 3), earning pair of bonus point victories against nationally ranked opponents 
  • Garnered MAC Wrestler of the Week (Jan. 11-17) after going 2-0 including a 17-0 technical fall and beating No. 4, Iowa State’s Ian Parker by 7-4 decision
  • Picked up five ranked victories during the regular season, highlighted by taking down No. 4 Ian Parker (Iowa State) in a 7-4 decision at the Iowa State Tri-Dual (Jan. 17)
  • Began postseason competition with a 4-1 record at the MAC Championships, Feb. 26-27, including two major decisions and a fall

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2019-20)

  • NCAA Qualifier at 133 pounds, earning the nation’s No. 19 seed in the weight class, but did not get to compete at his first NCAA Championships due to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Placed second at the MAC Championships, March 7-8, at 133 pounds, losing in overtime to Kent State’s Tim Rooney
  • Went 20-9 on the year and won 10 of his final 12 bouts to close the season, losing only to Rooney in that stretch
  • Among his 20 wins were 13 bonus-point victories, including five pins, five major decisions and three technical falls
  • Was 7-5 in dual competition, including a 3-2 mark in MAC duals
  • Won the 133-pound weight class at the Lindenwood Open (Nov. 23), posting a 4-0 mark including three pins to close out his tournament

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2018-19)

  • Wrestled in two different classes at 133 and 141 pounds throughout the season on his way to a 13-6 record with a dominant 11-4 record within tournaments
  • Started the season with six consecutive victories into November, including two wins via technical falls
  • Secured first place at the Iowa State Harold Nichols Cyclone Open, Nov. 3, capping it off with a 9-3 victory over Todd Small from Cyclone Regional Training
  • Began the Lindenwood Open (Nov. 17) with an 18-0 destruction of Kentucky Wesleyan’s Nick Ornelas on his way to a fourth-place finish
  • Won his second tournament of the season in the Roger Denker Open, Jan. 20, concluding it with a 7-0 victory over teammate Nick Nasenbeny

REDSHIRT SEASON (2017-18)

  • Went 17-4 during redshirt season, placing in the top-three of all five open tournaments he wrestled in, competing at 133 and 141 pounds.
  • Won 11 matches by bonus points, recording four falls, four technical falls and three major decisions.
  • Won the Roger Denker Open (Jan. 21) at 141 pounds, recording technical fall victories over Nebraska’s Andrew Nielson, 18-3, and Ouachita Baptist’s Trey Waltz, 16-0, in the opening rounds.
  • Placed fourth at the UNI Open (Dec. 9) at 141 pounds, winning a match by major decision over Iowa’s Aaron Meyer, 15-2, and a match by fall over teammate Colby Smith (3:21) in the tournament.
  • Won the 133 pound freshman/sophomore division bracket at the Lindenwood Open (Nov. 18), winning his first three matches by fall before defeating Ohio’s Kyran Hagan, 2-1, in the finals.
  • Placed second at 133 pounds at the Maryville Brand Kaufman Open (Nov. 11), winning a match by technical fall and major decision.
  • Earned a third-place finish at 133 pounds at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open (Nov. 4), defeating Northern Iowa’s Jack Wagner by major decision, 9-0, in the third-place bout.
