  • Defeating Levi Haines in sudden victory earned O'Toole Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors for the fourth time in his career, and marked the seventh time he had received a weekly accolade (MAC & USA Wrestling) 
  • Sustained an injury midseason that kept him out of the lineup for two months, returning for the final dual of the season against Iowa State (Dec. 22 - Feb. 22)
  • Marked his return to the mat by earning his 100th win by fall against Iowa State’s Caden Schmidt
  • Claimed the Big 12 title at 174 pounds, going 4-0 at the tournament with a tech fall and two majors before defeating Dean Hamiti of Oklahoma State (SV-1, 7-4) in the final

2023 Summer

  • Qualified for the UWW U23 World Championships at 74 kg
  • In a commanding performance, O'Toole won gold at 74 kg, going 5-0 against representatives from Ukraine, Romania, Japan, Puerto Rico and Athlètes Individuels Neutres (AIN)
  • O'Toole outscored his opponents 46-4 and never surrendered more than two points in a match 

SOPHOMORE (2022-23)

  • Became the first Tiger to beat a No. 1 seed at the NCAA Championships since J’den Cox beat Morgan McIntosh of Penn State in the 197-pound final in 2016

  • Did not concede a point until the finals, besting former All-American Anthony Valencia (ASU) 7-0, and 2022 All-Americans Carson Kharchla (OHST) and Cameron Amine (MICH) 2-0 and 4-0, respectively
  • Beat returning national champion Shane Griffith (STAN) in a 6-5 decision, securing a third-period takedown to cement the national championship

FRESHMAN (2020-21)
